You can apply for studies in Polish or in English. Check below language requirements.

You can apply for a course conducted in Polish if you know Polish at least at B2 level and:
- You have completed a preparatory course (lasting no less than 9 months) for undertaking studies in Polish, conducted at institutions designated by the minister responsible for higher education, or
- You hold a certificate of proficiency in Polish issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language (information about the certificate and exams is available at: certyfikatpolski.pl), or
- You hold a certificate confirming your proficiency in Polish issued by one of the following institutions:
- European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL), or
- telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH (TELC), or
- You have previously studied in Polish and hold a diploma of graduation from a programme taught in Polish, issued by a higher education institution operating within the Polish system of higher education, or
- You have completed first-cycle (Bachelor’s), second-cycle (Master’s), or long-cycle Master’s studies in Polish philology or applied linguistics at a foreign university, and hold a diploma together with a diploma supplement or certificate confirming that the number of Polish language instruction hours was at least 500.
ATTENTION!
If:
-You have graduated from secondary school in Poland and hold a high school leaving certificate (świadectwo maturalne), or
-You hold a diploma of completion of higher education obtained in Poland, issued by a university operating within the Polish higher education system,
you DO NOT NEED to present any additional document confirming your knowledge of the Polish language during the admission process!
You can apply for programmes taught in English if you know English at least at the B2 level and have:
- A certificate issued by University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations:
- B2 First (FCE)
- C1 Advanced (CAE)
- C2 Proficiency (CPE)
- B2 Business Vantage (BEC Vantage)
- C1 Business Higher
- Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT), or
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System), conducted by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council, or IDP IELTS Australia – minimum score of 5.5, or
- A certificate issued by Trinity College London:
- ESOL Skills for Life – Level 1 (B2) or higher
- Integrated Skills in English (ISE) – ISE II or higher
- ISE Digital – minimum score of 80 (B2), or
- A certificate issued by Educational Testing Service (ETS):
- TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) – minimum score of 72
- TOEIC – minimum scores of 785 in Listening & Reading, 150 in Speaking, and 160 in Writing, or
- A certificate issued by Pearson Assessment English:
- Pearson English International Certificate (paper-based or computer-based, formerly Pearson Test of English General (PTE) or London Tests of English) – Level 3 (Edexcel Certificate in ESOL International Level 1 – Pass, Merit, or Distinction) or higher
- Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic), both in-person and online – minimum score of 59, or
- A certificate issued by LanguageCert (PeopleCert Qualifications – PCQ):
- LanguageCert International ESOL – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing) (Communicator B2), also known as LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Listening, Reading, Writing, and
- LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Speaking) (Communicator B2), also known as LanguageCert International ESOL Communicator B2 Speaking, or higher
- LanguageCert Academic – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Academic B2) or higher
- LanguageCert Test of English – LanguageCert Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) (LanguageCert Test of English B2) or higher, or
- A certificate issued by Education Development International (EDI), London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board (LCCI):
- English for Business – Level 2 or higher
- Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English (FTBE), or
- A certificate issued by the European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages – Level B2 (Vantage) or higher, or
- A certificate issued by telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH:
- Certificate in English
- Certificate in English for Business Purposes
- Certificate in English for Technical Purposes
- telc English
- telc English Business
- telc English Technical
- telc English University, or
- An International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma – in reference to the primary language, or
- A European Baccalaureate Diploma – in reference to the first (L1) or second (L2) language, or
- A diploma of completion of first-cycle (Bachelor’s), second-cycle (Master’s), or long-cycle Master’s studies issued by a higher education institution operating within the Polish system of higher education, or by a foreign university, containing information about the language of instruction. If the diploma does not specify the language of instruction, a diploma supplement or certificate confirming the language of instruction is additionally required, or
- A diploma of completion of first-cycle, second-cycle, or long-cycle Master’s studies in philology (in the relevant foreign language) or applied linguistics, issued by a higher education institution operating within the Polish or a foreign system of higher education, along with a diploma supplement or certificate confirming that the number of instructional hours in that language was at least 500, or
- You have completed a preparatory course (lasting no less than 9 months) for undertaking studies in English, conducted at institutions designated by the minister responsible for higher education.
ATTENTION: If you are a candidate for bachelor's degree studies taught in English, you will also have to take an advanced level English language entrance exam and pass it with a score of at least 60%.
