Legalisation of stay

Dear students, keep in mind that both European Union citizens and foreigners coming to Poland from outside the European Union are required to legalize their stay in Poland.

Documents needed to grant the permit:

Full-time studies

First year student

  1. a current certificate from the university signed by the Rector or a person authorized by him to issue certificates for foreigners on the current form,

  2. a certificate from the university confirming payment of tuition fees for the academic year,

  3. a document confirming health insurance,

  4. a document confirming sufficient funds to cover the cost of living in Poland and return travel for a period of 15 months, after deducting the cost of residence,

  5. a statement regarding the cost of residence.

You submit all documents in original/certified copy.

Student in the following year

  1. a current certificate from the university signed by the Rector or a person authorized by him to issue certificates for foreigners on the current form,

  2. a certificate from the university confirming payment of tuition fees for the academic year,

  3. a document confirming health insurance,

  4. a document confirming sufficient funds to cover the cost of living in Poland and return travel for each month of stay of 3 months, but not more than for a period of 3 years, after deducting the cost of residence,

  5. a statement regarding the cost of residence.

You submit all documents in original/certified copy.

 

Documents needed to grant the permit:

Part-time studies

  1. a current certificate from the university signed by the Rector or a person authorized by him to issue certificates for foreigners, specifying the date of commencement and completion of studies, the year of study, the mode of study, the field of study, as well as the number of hours of study per month,

  2. a certificate from the university confirming payment of tuition fees for the academic year,

  3. health insurance,

  4. document confirming sufficient funds to cover the cost of living in Poland and return travel,

  5. a document confirming an assured place of residence.

You submit all documents in original/certified copy. 

 

The permit is granted for the period of study, but no longer than 12 months.
