Academic support (Akademickie Centrum Zaufania)
Did you know that as one of the first technical universities in Poland, the Technical University of Lodz established a separate unit - the Office for Students with Disabilities (Biuro ds. Osób Niepełnosprawnyc)? This unit takes care of improving the accessibility of higher education at Lodz University of Technology, supporting organizational changes and improving the competence of the staff. Lodz University of Technology is a university that is friendly and open to people with disabilities.
Office for Students with Disabilities offers:
- scholarships for students with disability certificates;
- the possibility of adapting classes to individual needs resulting from physical or mental health conditions;
- adaptation of the form of credits to special educational needs (including individual classes and lectures);
- support of educational consultants;
- teaching guidance for professors who teach the classes you attend;
- renting digital and electronic equipment to support the education of people with motor, hearing and visual disabilities;
- assistance of sign language interpreters and translation devices;
- transport for people with limited mobility (e.g., in wheelchairs), support from transport assistants;
- support from teaching assistants;
- specialized physical education classes;
- psychological support in crisis and educational counseling;
- workshops to develop self-awareness, learning processes, social and intellectual development, decision-making;
- addiction counseling.

Rector's Scholarship
The Rector's scholarship for students at Lodz University of Technology may be requested by a student who is in at least the second year of first-cycle studies or at least the first semester of second-cycle studies.
The Rector's scholarship for students may be awarded to a student who has achieved outstanding academic results in the previous academic year, has scientific or artistic achievements or sports achievements in competition at least at the national level.
The list of scored achievements is included in the appropriate Appendix No. 1
Scholarships are granted to a maximum of 10% of the best students in a given field of study who have received the highest number of points in their ranking group, but not less than the point limit established in a separate Announcement of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs on the amount of particular types of benefits.
The scholarship is awarded for an academic year.
Applications for the rector's scholarship should be printed via web-dziekanat and submitted to the Student Affairs Office (Sekcja Obsługi Świadczeń SOŚ)
Financial support
In special cases, students can apply for financial support.

Special assistance grant
Special assistance grant for studies is financial support, granted to applicants in difficult situations (e.g. serious illness, loss of parents' jobs, birth of a child). Its granting is decided by the scholarship committee.
Applications for the special assistance grant should be submitted up to 6 months after the occurrence of the incident justifying the grant directly to Student Affairs Office, Żeromskiego street, 116, Building A33, 4th floor.

A maintenance grant
A maintenance grant may be granted to a student in a difficult financial situation, whose monthly net income per person in the family does not exceed the amount specified in a separate Announcement on the amount of individual types of benefits agreed with the Student Council and the Doctoral Student Council.
Students may submit applications for maintenance grants throughout the academic year, in which case grants are paid from the month in which the application is received (for applications submitted before the academic year, grants are available from October).
Applications for material aid should be generated via the web dziekanat and delivered at the designated dates and places in accordance with the procedures described in the Announcement.

A grant for persons with disabilities
A grant for persons with disabilities may be received by a student with a disability confirmed by a decision of a competent authority.
Applications generated and printed from the web dziekanat with attachments, should be submitted to Student Affairs Office in office hours, Building A30.
Tutoring
The experience of the tutors at Lodz University of Technology allowed the development of a model of tutoring at Lodz University of Technology, practiced in three parts:
provides support especially to newcomers to the university, but not only; it assists them in adapting to the university, becoming an active, integrated member of the academic community, maintaining or increasing well-being and developing non-academic interests. In the 2022/2023 academic year at Lodz University of Technology, IFE students (first year, first degree) were tutored. In the following years, we will expand to other faculties.i.
provides the opportunity to benefit from a professional path of academic and professional development under the guidance of an academic supervisor who supports the student in his work and facilitates the expansion of his knowledge; includes the implementation of an Individual Study Program
takes advantage of the scientific and research potential of our University's students and aims to emphasize student cooperation; it is also a teaching strategy in which students provide assistance to their peers or lower-year students with learning difficulties.
