About the field of study
Transport is an integral part of human life, especially as it focuses on moving people and cargo through space using appropriate means. The core of the field of study is the study of transportation systems also in terms of logistics, which combines transportation technology, technical means of transportation, infrastructure and management systems. In the second-cycle studies, the student becomes a future specialist in road or rail transportation. Major subjects include those with a mechanical profile such as internal combustion engines, hydrokinetic and hydrostatic propulsion, and those with an electrical profile: fundamentals of propulsion, power electronics and electric traction. Transport provides training for specialists in traffic engineering, transportation systems analysis and transportation means engineering.

The Triple Road Train usually pulls at least two trailers or semi-trailers that are hooked under one tractor and are called dog or puppy trailers because they have historically been used on dog farms. During the Crimean War, vehicles were transported by road train. A road train in the land of kangaroos can be as long as 55 meters and is of tremendous importance in transporting goods of various sizes. However, this is only one of the many methods of transport used, and you will learn more about them by choosing your second-cycle studies.
They will allow you to gain knowledge of core subjects, which also include subjects with a mechanical profile, such as technical mechanics, manufacturing techniques, mechanism theory, strength of materials, fundamentals of construction. It is complemented by technical subjects, necessary for every engineer: in the field of engineering graphics, computer science, information technologies, as well as metrology, electrical engineering, automation and electronics. However, Transport is not only a combination of technology and science, but first and foremost, knowledge of transport infrastructure, traffic engineering, engineering of means of transport in road and rail traffic. This field of study is an excellent choice if you want to have the opportunity to start your own business or perform management functions in forwarding companies. It provides access to detailed information on issues related to logistics, organization and management, cost accounting, economics and transport law.
