Mateusz Lichman - Graduate opinion

Studying at the Institute of Mathematics of TUL gave me, first of all, the opportunity to learn about mathematics, which is a truly fascinating field of science. My studies also opened up the perspective of academic work for me. Not only did they allow me to prepare for it - studying under the individual study program and many extra-curricular activities with my research supervisor resulted in my first scientific publications, participation in national and international mathematical conferences - but they also gave me inspiration, since it was only during my studies that I decided I wanted to become a scientist. My studies also allowed me to get involved in the activities of the Mathematicians' Scientific Circle of TUL. I had the opportunity to co-organize various events, participate in trips, seminars, have interesting discussions, and most importantly, meet people, both from our university and from other research centers, who share with me a passion for mathematics.
