mgr inż. Martyna Marszał, senior laboratory technician at Central Institute for Labor Protection - Graduate opinion
After graduating from the Faculty of Materials Technologies and Textile Design, I started working at the Central Institute for Labor Protection. I implement activities whose main task is to improve the conditions and safety of people in the working environment, through the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses or textile shock absorbers.
Development and learning are inseparable in my work, but it is the basis in technical sciences, humanities and arts developed at university that helps me gain professional experience. Textiles is closely linked to many fields of science, which allows me to look at my work from a broader perspective, while at the same time not closing my professional path in one narrow specialization. My studies have developed in me what I can hardly find in books. They allowed me to experience not only the taste of success, but also failure. Relationships with students and lecturers were an opportunity to develop soft skills, which is of considerable importance in every field of life. I can easily say that the knowledge I gained during my first and second degree studies helps me meet the constant challenges that accompany me every day in my professional work.
