    About the field of study

    Advanced Design and Technology is a field of study that allows you to get an engineering education and gain knowledge of the textile industry at all levels - starting from material properties to cost analysis of the finished product. It is from knowing the characteristic physical and chemical features of different materials that education begins. Students then gain knowledge of the principles of design optimization and the proper selection of manufacturing techniques to ultimately become informed designers of products that are not only useful, but also economical and environmentally safe. During their studies, students have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in the industry, such as designing with 3D modeling and next-generation printers. This allows you to create even the most original designs. Students will also learn about statistics and business strategies. They are familiar with the basics of so-called design management, especially methods for analyzing consumer behavior and the actions of competitors, and cost analysis of the new product development process. They can test their skills during semester assignments by tackling real design problems from both industry and the laboratories of Lodz University of Technology.

Photography and drawing classes will allow you to gain a new perspective, which you will transfer to your designs, and information technology will allow you to produce textiles in a modern way. Thanks to a wide range of elective subjects, you will realize the first projects of industrial products, and workshops and expert lectures will allow you to improve them in accordance with the latest trends in the industry.
