Applied Computer Science allows you to gain skills in designing and developing applications, computer games and information systems using artificial intelligence, networking technologies, databases and computer graphics. During the course of study, the main emphasis is on the practical application of the knowledge and skills obtained. Our field of study s the ideal path for those who want to turn concerns about the development of Artificial Intelligence into a competence advantage in the labor market. The knowledge gained there not only allows you to understand the operation of advanced technologies, but also teaches you how to effectively use them for your own development and to expand your skills.
The Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology and Applied Mathematics, which conducts Applied Computer Science, closely cooperates with companies in the IT industry, and thanks to this cooperation, it continuously updates the study program and adapts it to the needs of the labor market. The development of interests is fostered by the excellent infrastructure at the Faculty. At the state-of-the-art Information Technology Center, students have access to the latest technologies related to mixed reality, film techniques, biometrics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, computer networks and mobile systems, among others. Students of Applied Computer Science participate in academic programs of leading software producers, such as: "Microsoft Academy", "Oracle Academy" and "Cisco Network Academy", so they have the opportunity to work using training materials prepared by these companies. At the end, the best students receive the corresponding certificates.
Students learn how to work individually and in teams through joint projects. Graduates of the Applied Computer Science offered by the FTIMS have no problems finding a job already during their studies.
