About the field of study

The Chemical Product Manager field of study is a unique, modern proposal of interdisciplinary studies, carried out in cooperation with the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Organization and Management. It is a great choice for people who want to combine their passion for science with competences in the field of management, marketing and innovation.
The curriculum combines technological knowledge with business skills, thanks to which graduates gain exceptional preparation for work at the interface between science and industry. This is a field of study for those who want to understand both chemical processes and market mechanisms of chemical products — and effectively manage their development, production and implementation on the market.

The program is based on close cooperation with the industry and includes an analysis of customer needs in the field of chemical products, taking into account quality, logistic, ecological and legal aspects; learning how to study the composition of chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products as well as environmental samples. The program also includes the design and implementation of new chemical products, life cycle management, certification and logistics. Students will also acquire soft skills, including those necessary for teamwork. The acquired competences will enable work both in the laboratory, product development department, quality and product safety management department, as well as in the area of sales or technical consulting.

The studies prepare students to work in dynamically developing industries: household chemicals, automotive, construction, pharmacy, or the packaging industry – wherever modern materials and technologies require sustainable management. A graduate of the program is a specialist who combines knowledge in the field of chemistry with managerial skills.
