About the field of study

Environmental Engineering in Civil Construction is the answer to today's environmental problems. The study program prepares professionals whose task is to plan and optimize urban development work that is consistent with sustainable development. With knowledge of systems modeling methods, students learn to solve climate change problems. The study program was developed in cooperation with the Lodz District Chamber of Civil Engineers, thus providing the latest and most up-to-date knowledge in the field. In addition to gaining theoretical education, students conduct projects, research and engineering measurements. All of this is possible thanks to the laboratory and field spaces provided by the university. Students also gain experience at partner facilities - visiting specialized enterprises and municipal facilities, as well as serving internships there. Completion of a degree in Environmental Engineering in Civil Construction allows you to apply for an unlimited construction license in the case of installation specialization in the field of heating, ventilation, gas, water and sewage networks, installations and equipment. These licenses allow the holder to perform independent technical functions in the construction industry without limitations in designing and directing construction works in the indicated scope.

Environmental Engineering in Civil Construction deals with important issues affecting our planet. What I enjoyed most during my studies was the diversity of knowledge: from district heating systems to ventilation and air conditioning, renewable energy sources, air protection to water treatment projects.
