About the field of study
The field of study Food and Nutrition Manager combines the knowledge imparted by specialists from two faculties of Lodz University of Technology: Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences and Faculty of Organization and Management This gives students a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of food technology and nutrition, as well as management and marketing. The education and skills they have acquired allow them to work as service managers for catering companies in the hotel, catering and agritourism industries, as well as to prepare commercial offerings for various groups of customers. Constructing meals according to nutritional and dietary recommendations is just one in the many skills they learn during their studies. As graduates, they are prepared to successfully lead catering production based on quality control systems, as well as manage a team of employees. They can also start their own business.
