About the field of study
Occupational Safety Engineering is a unique inter-faculty major, implemented by four faculties of Lodz University of Technology: Faculty of Process and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Organization and Management, Faculty of Materials Technology and Textile Design, Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering.
As part of the study program, students acquire knowledge and skills in the field of occupational risk analysis, design and monitoring of technical working conditions or circumstances of accidents at work. Education in the field of systemic management of occupational safety and health (OSH), and the conduct of training and keeping documentation helps graduates to efficiently prepare modern solutions. Classes are run by specialized scientific and teaching staff who work closely with entrepreneurs, carrying out research and scientific projects for their needs, and by specialists - practitioners from the occupational health and safety industry, representatives of state bodies supervising working conditions (for example, the State Labor Inspectorate, the State Fire Service) and scientific institutes (for example, the Institute of Occupational Medicine, etc.).
