Textiles and Fashion Industry (English) is a field of study for those who want to learn about the interdisciplinary textile and fashion industries of the 21st century. The curriculum provides students with knowledge and skills in the field of innovative and interdisciplinary creation of new solutions needed by the modern textile and clothing industry. It is estimated that by 2035 there will be almost 40% growth in the number of companies operating in this sector, so graduates in this field are and will be even more urgently sought after in the labor market. During their studies, students acquire skills in the use of biotechnology, electrical engineering and nanotechnology for the production of new textile materials, 3D products, smart textiles and textile biomaterials. These solutions are applicable not only in the production of clothing, but also medical materials, personal protection, composites, geo- and agro-textiles.

Specializations:
After graduating from the Faculty of Materials Technologies and Textile Design, I started working at the Central Institute for Labor Protection. I implement activities whose main task is to improve the conditions and safety of people in the working environment, through the use of personal protective equipment such as safety harnesses or textile shock absorbers.

Textiles and Fashion Industry is a good choice for those who want to get to know the fashion industry “from the inside”. The study program focuses on finding innovative solutions for the modern textile and clothing industry. You will learn not only manufacturing, but also research, processing of materials for the needs of many fields, such as the medical, automotive or clothing industries. During the course, you will learn creative design and gain technical knowledge. You will learn about different materials manufacturing technologies such as weaving or knitting, as well as learn how to use elements of automation, mechanics and chemistry when planning production. You will also learn how to manage production and protect your projects from intellectual theft. After graduation, you can choose one of many career paths — working in textile plants, manufacturing and trading companies or a consumer protection office.
