About the field of study

Applied Electronics is an English-language path of education in Electronics and Telecommunications major.  The program places particular emphasis on analysis and design of analogue and digital electronic circuits, optoelectronics, microelectronic technologies, and the implementation of modern telecommunications and data communication networks.
The proposed English-language program offers the possibility of two double degrees in the area of electronics jointly with the University of Naples Frederico II, Italy (UNINA) and in the area of telecommunications jointly with the University of Vigo, Spain (UVigo). As part of the double degree programs, students spend two semesters at Lodz University of Technology and two semesters at the Partner University (UNINA or UVigo). As part of their studies, they receive a diploma from their home university and a diploma from the partner university for those who are interested in electronics - the UNINA diploma, and for those who are interested in telecommunications - the (UVigo) diploma.

Graduate opinions

I think that this field of study should be among the TOP10 studies of the time because of the comprehensive knowledge it allows you to gain, as well as the opportunities for development after graduation. For me, especially important were the classes in optoelectronics and fiber optic networks, which are the basis of the technical part of my professional work.

About you

"In fact, the only thing that makes sense is the pursuit of more and more collective enlightenment," acknowledged Elon Musk. Electronics and Telecommunications is an ideal field of study with priority in development. The English-language curriculum allows one to open up to an international perspective on the issues at hand. Your studies will allow you to gain advanced knowledge of electronics, telecommunications, data communications with attention to the current status and development trends in these fields. You will gain all the knowledge and skills that are used in specialized engineering activities typical of the current job market and scientific research activities. You will be prepared to perform tasks in micro- and nanoelectronic technologies, design and operation of renewable energy sources with special emphasis on photovoltaics, design and operation of fiber optic networks, microprocessor technology (including software) and implementation of modern telecommunications networks. Education is conducted wholly or partially in English, which prepares one to use the rich English-language literature and function in an international environment.

The choice of English-language education and the double degree program means that graduates can receive two diplomas: Master of Engineering in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications from Lodz University of Technology and, Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Elettronica from the University of Naples or Master en Ingenieria de Telecomunicacacion from the University of Vigo, respectively. In the case of Polish-language education, graduates receive Master of Science degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Lodz University of Technology.
