Raptors

Students who build Mars rovers and drones are passionate about a whole range of fields: from mechanical engineering to geology and marketing. In the state-of-the-art FabLab workshop, they work on designs that win competitions in various parts of the world. In 2024, they took a podium place in Canada for their simulation of real Mars missions, and also secured top positions at Droniada, winning, amongst other things, the Head of the National Security Bureau’s Cup. They are keen to welcome new members and give them the chance to bring their own ideas to life!

Lodz Solar Team

Lodz Solar Team is a team of TUL students, but above all, they are enthusiasts and builders of solar-powered electric cars. The team’s city cars, Eagle One and Eagle Two, make practical use of solar energy and take part in competitions all over the world – and they win! And, just as importantly, they support urban energy systems..

Energy Science Student Research Club
Students from the Energy Science Student Research Club undertake various projects, but it is GUST (Generative Urban Small Turbine) that is the best known. This domestic four-bladed horizontal-axis wind turbine has been recognised in numerous national and international competitions. It recently took first place in the International Small Wind Turbine Contest, beating engineers from Egypt, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

Iron Warriors
Their famous racing car covered 837 km on a single litre of fuel and set a Polish record. The team’s current vehicle – their third to date – made its debut with a victory at the 2018 Shell Eco-marathon France in Paris in the Prototype Gasoline category. The team took first place at the Educ Eco competition in France and became the fastest-growing Polish team competing in Eco-marathons.
