About the field of study

Materials and Technologies of the Future is an interdisciplinary field of study covering issues related to the production and testing of the properties of materials in terms of their applications in industries such as automotive, aviation, space, energy, or solutions for medicine and healthcare. The curriculum also includes designing processes for adapting the properties of materials and technological solutions to specific environmental, operational or strength requirements.
Studies in the field of Materials and Technologies of the Future allow you to gain knowledge and new skills using design methods, in close cooperation with the business and industrial environment. Students not only have the opportunity to create a prototype of a solution to a given problem, but also to verify its functionality. Thanks to project work, they develop hard skills, as well as soft skills that are highly valued by employers – cooperation, teamwork, proper organization of work, development and presentation of the results obtained. 
The curriculum covers issues related to state-of-the-art technologies for the production of materials, including additive manufacturing technologies and 3D printing, synthesis of nano- and biomaterials or plasma technologies, and addresses aspects related to the subject of energy storage and transport of the future. It is structured in this way to stimulate and develop the student's creativity to explore novel approaches and propose their own solutions. Specialists in the field of materials and technology have competences that make them sought-after employees in various industries here
