About the field of study
Mechanical Engineering is a field of study for people looking for broad employment opportunities after graduation. The curriculum assumes acquiring universal education - not only engineering knowledge, but also skills in the field of IT, management basics and foreign languages. Students learn to use resources from the fields of mechanics and automation to create modern mechatronic solutions. They will learn methods of designing mechanical and electronic devices, the basics of biomedical engineering, and advanced technologies and new materials. They also acquire skills in using professional computer software. Mechanical Engineering graduates gain employment in many industries, including: automotive, aviation and electrical machinery. The skills acquired during studies also allow you to set up private manufacturing or service companies. Mechanical Engineering is used in the design of every device and machine, and as an engineer you will have the opportunity to creatively create new solutions and change the world for the better!

Competencies you will gain
About you
Are you looking for a field that will combine mechanics and automation? Do you want to learn about the latest control theories and electronics applications? Do you want to gain practical and theoretical preparation for the design and operation of modern mechatronics devices, and also master English at an advanced level? If so, then the Mechanical Engineering course is just for you.
During your studies, you will gain knowledge on the border of physics, chemistry and mathematics, and, above all, valuable competences in the field of Mechanical Engineering. At the beginning of your training, you will gain the necessary substantive basis - classes in materials science, measurements and technical drawing will be useful for creating increasingly advanced projects. You will learn software for creating complex designs of mechanical systems and analyzing them from various angles. In further stages, you will learn how to consciously use fluid mechanics, the principles of thermodynamics, and electronics and electrical engineering. You will test your skills during semester projects, both individual and group. From the offer of elective subjects, you can choose those that best suit your interests. Do you want to learn programming languages or the secrets of computer-aided manufacturing? Test yourself while studying at Lodz University of Technology!
