About the field of study

Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering is a field of study that was established at the beginning of the university's existence, and its program is regularly updated. Students gain the knowledge needed to design and manufacture mechanical structures, including: machinery for industrial needs, working machines, automotive engines and those used in propulsion and control, machine tools, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. They are also educated in mechanical and plant engineering technology Students also prepare to work in attractive and new fields, such as mechatronics, medical apparatus and equipment, biomechanics, biomaterials technology, applied computer science, machine operation. They acquire basic knowledge of broadly understood commercial activities and related financial, legal, organizational and marketing issues. During their studies, they also have the opportunity to choose which degree they want to pursue: applied mechanics, engineering of machines and mechanical systems, chip or chipless technologies.

Materials and technologies is a course of study in which you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of materials with industrial and medical applications. You will learn about the physical and chemical properties of materials, which will increase your awareness of their application in work and everyday life.
